  1. I have fmla for pregnancy. the fmla forms says it covers intermittent days and appointments related to the diagnosis. had a random appointment for 7 days out notified employer immediately that it was fmla. request denied saying it was planned and scheduled and doesn't qualify under fmla and that fmla only covers unscheduled increments . I did everything I could to get it scheduled on a day off but they were unable to accommodate. have to have the scan at a certain time so had to have this appointment …manager denied due to short staff. so it's legal to deny a scheduled appointment ? its prenatal care so it will happen more but idk what will truly be protected

  2. I had no idea that my intermittent fmla was going to get cancelled because of COVID 19 I remembered getting extended so I wouldn’t lose my job is what the hartford insurance person told me with the hospital taking the time to print out the paper work for me there was always a 2 to 3 month wating time either way two weeks went by and I was dropped! I was told it wasn’t the proper paper work so I lost my intermittent fmla with them knowing that I did not understand the what and the why it was over now I work with spinal stenosis and lost all my disc due to Degenerative Disc Disease it’s all about when will I give up and I’m not so I’m allways in constant pain and I live on pain killers but for how long I beleive the hospital is taking away all opiates then I’m done

  3. What if you providing all the documents needed for your fmla and they are requesting documents that you don’t have .. do they have the right to deny you ? And what happens to your job?

  4. Are doctors appts covered by FMLA? If I have a doctors appt, that will cause me to be a few hours late to work, can I use my FMLA to cover those few hours so I don't get in trouble? Or do I have to miss the whole day? Also, I have intermittent FMLA and it was signed off by my chiropractor. Will my FMLA only cover me for issues with my back or will it cover me if I get sick or injured?

  5. Can the insurance company that is paying your wage while you are gone request all copies of your medical records? Mine asked for that and it surprised me. The doctor filled out all the required paperwork.

  7. There are no paid family allowances whatsoever. Ever since I went on FMLA, I and my family has been surviving on the index funds investments I made with Mrs. Trish Tyler, the financial expert. I do not know why these things are made this way.

  8. The issue I had was the doctor refused to fill out FMLA paperwork for me. I was just finding out I was diabetic and my blood sugar and blood pressure were insanely high plus I have chronic back problems. I was also having really bad dizzy spells where out of the blue I’d feel like the whole room was spinning and all I could do was sit there with my head down and wait for it to pass. The doctors office told me FMLA wasn’t necessary, they would just give me doctors notes for the days I had appointments and that should be sufficient. So I was just showing up to work barely able to walk straight some days to keep from losing my job and praying none of those dizzy spells hit me on my ride to work which was about 1.5 hours due to the traffic. I eventually quit working all together but it would’ve been helpful to have FMLA to give me a chance to get my health on track without having to quit my job.

  9. Great information. What if you have more than one serious health condition? Do you need more than one FMLA packet?

  10. In my case I have intermittent have come I lay for a chronic reoccurring condition. What the cauvet outbreaks certainly not a normal situation. The company I worked for had sent people home that may have been exposed to other people then had cauvet 19. I was paid for the time that I was sent home. But the company and the group that they use to manage F MLA the read group. Subtracted the time that the company sent me home from the hours I had already worked to qualify for the F MLA. Example. Let's say I had worked the minimum threshold of 1250 hours. And the company sent me home for 24 hours. Please note that I only work 8 hours of a 24 hour day. In my case the company and the rig group would subtract 24 hours 1 day From the 1250 hours worked. Leaving me with 1249 hours. Disqualifying me for F MLA usage. I have already worked the minimum threshold. The company is illegally and my mind subtracting from already worked hours and then at a rate Ted 3 to 1. If I'm gone for 24 hours they are subtracting 24 hours rather than the 8 I would work. They shouldn't be able to subtracted at all. Am I correct?

  12. The protection of the FMLA (and ADA) can be circumvented by corporate lawyers . My former employer literally had an entire law firm to handle their issues.

When they demoted me after I took FMLA, I hardly had the energy for day-to-day life. I didn’t have the energy to pursue legal recourse and I definitely didn’t have the money. Then the employer denied my long-term disability claim via a doctor who says I could work with chronic severe daily migraine.

So now I just tell everybody who asks me about the employer what happened. 😈

  13. Hello, what exactly is serious condition?
My brother is an epilepsy patient but works hard. We recently found out he had some disease in his retinal eye and needs surgery. Said if untreated he can go blind in the long run. He is scared to get fired from job. He needs this surgery and probably few weeks for recovery. It's for both eyes. I am so sad for my brother. I don't what to do. I want to help him so much. Would this medical condition apply for fmla? We live in nyc…
Any information would help please ~
