I just got an order of lite silkspan from brodak that I plan on using to cover the wing of an old sterling P51. Is the medium more appropriate for covering, strength wise?
Back when I was a teenager, I had a friend who would use a second layer of silkspan over the first, have you ever heard of doing that? It's probably not needed is it?
I used to trim the edge of my silkspan with a piece of sandpaper too, I don't remember if I read about it or if I just chose to do it that way, but it works great. In one of the comments below, you say that storing dope in Mason jars works great, but I've never heard of storing it in the refrigerator, it wouldn't need to be would it?

hi stunt hangar, i understand a little the english language, sorry about that, 3 coats of dope and sand to smooth, ok, what is the liquid to spry??? thinner?? to active the dope and glue silkspan to frames?

One minor question: what grit is the sandpaper to roughen the edges while you dope and tear the overlap ? Great idea as this is the best way to hide/cover the seam ..
Where do you get a good brush at? I got a camel hair brush from Brodaks but all the hairs are falling out.
