Hardest thing ever!!! but the process is enjoyable.
"Who is this about?"
I think that's really the meat and potatoes of any story. The heart.
For me anyway.
You can have any story, any setting, any characters… But if you don't have an emotional anchor that the audience can connect with and get invested in, then…
Then there is no pay off to the journey.
Like a magic trick, a punch line, or a con job, there is an emotion that pulls you through to the finish.
That character you choose to honor will be the vehicle for the audience to experience that emotion.
And then keep the writing tight. Each moment gives meaning to the journey.
Otherwise, you're just wasting money.
I want to write and direct a low budget movie.
Theaters are starving. They will be desperate for content. The pandemic has forced the entertainment industry to change.
This is a very unique opportunity.

DEAR FILM RIOT . PKAY THIS IS GOING TO SOUND TOTATLY CRAZY LOL , BUT PLEASE BEAR WITH ME BEAR IS AN ANIMAL PUN NOT. ANYWAYS . YEARS AGO I HAD A VISION . WHAT ? A VISION YES THE BEST WAY I CAN EXPLAIN IT IS LIKE THIS BASICALLY A 4 HOUR MOTION PICTURE GGOT DOWNLOADED INTO MY MIND WOW ! IT WAS A NIGHT VISION AFTER READING THE HOLY BIBLE AND THEN AFTER I WOULD TURN ON THE RADIO LATE AT NIGHT THE NEXT THING THAT WAS STRANGE WAS THE MUSIC INSPIRED OR MATCHED THE SCENE I JUST HAD JUST BEEN READING BUT WITH A TWIST TO THE SCENE UNLIKE ANYONE HAS EVER IMAGINED COOLL , I KNOW ODD . BUT THEN DAY AFTER DAY THE VISIONS OR DAY DREAMING AT NIGHT WHILES I AWAKE THE INTIRE MOVIE WAS WELL HOW CAN I SAY IT DOWNLOADED INTO MY MIND . SO I HAVE HAD THIS INCREDIBLE FILM IN MY MIND EVER SINCE . NOT AN IDEA NOPE. AN ACTUALL INTIRE 4 HOUR LONG FEATUREED MOTION PICTURE UNLIKE ANYTHING EVER THOUGHT UP OFF . SO HERES THE HUGE PROBLEM I CANT WRITE AS YOU CAN SEE LOL . SO CAN YOU OR DO YOU KNOW HOW I COULD POSSIBLY GET SOMEONE TO PEN DOWN MY VISIONS ON PAPER SCENE BY INTIRE SCENE THEN AFTER THAT A STORYBOARD IT TOO BUT AT LEAST GET IT ON A SCREENPLAY FORMAT IF INTERESTED PLEASE REPLY . YES I`M SERIOUS . ITS DRIVING ME INSANE HAVE THIS FILM IN MY BRAIN . SO MY HUMBLE REQUEST IS FOR FREE CAN YOU WHRITE MY SCREEN PLAY AND IF SO I`M WHILING TO PUT YOUR NAME ON IT ALONG WITH MINE BASICALLY LETS MAKE MY MOTION PICTURE . WHATS IT ABOUT ASK ME ? SMALL CLUE ITS AN EPIC ACTION PACKED ADDVENTURE THROUGH THE INTIRE HOLY BIBLE WTF …???? YES I SAID WTFUN LOL MY FILM HAS TWISTS AND TURN ON A BIBLICAL SCALE UNLIKE ANYTHING EVER SEEN . I KNOW I KNOW ANOTHER JESUS FLICK . NOPE NOT QUITE , MY FILM TAKES THE AUDIENCE BACK IN TIME BEFORE GOD CREATED THE UNIVERSE WHAT WAS HE DOING BACK THEN ETC… BIG SURPRISES LIKE THAT AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT THE BIBLE DOES MENTION EVOLUTION WAIT , …WHAT ? YEP . TWIST BIBLICAL FACTS THAT ARE NOT QUITE NORMAL NOT A BORING JESUS ON THE CROSS MEL GIBSON BS NOOO BIGGER GRANDER . OH BY THE WAY WHERE DID GOD COME FROM ANYWAYS ? WHO MADE HIM ? MY FILM ALSO ANSWERS THIS QUESTION NO ITS NOT A Q & A FILM BUT ITS A STUNING VISUAL MUSICAL MOTION PICTURE MODDERN THAT CAN STAND THE TEST OF TIME ITS NOT ERILIGIOUS ITS NOT RELIGIOUS ITS NOT DEMEANING TO ANY ONE RACE CREED OR OTHER RELIGION BUT IT SUPPORTS EVERY BELIEF AND CONSPIRACY CHECKED THROUGH MY FILM ALL LIFES HUGE MYSTERIES ARE SOLVED THATS JUST A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF IT . THIS IS NOT A PITCH IF YOU REPLY THEN I WILL PITCH A SCENE “THE WOMAN AND THE REPTILED SNAKE ` WHY DID ADAM AND EVE HAVE A SNAKE WITH LEGS AFTER THEM IN THE BIBLE HUM..???? MY FILM COULD BE YOURS …AT THIS POINT I JUST WANT MY FILM WHRITTEN WITH YOUR PRATICAL SKILLS AND MY INSPIRATIONAL GENIUS WE COULD MAKE TONS OF FILMS LETS MAKE HISTORY PLEASE AND THANK YOU OH HOW COMPELING YOU DID READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH NOTICE THAT I HAVE THIS ABILITY TO CAPTURE AN AUDIENCE DAM….IF I ONLY KNEW HOW TO WRTITE A SCREENPLAY . I HAVE PITCHED MY FILM TO MANY OTHERS THEY ALL SAID NO ! EVEN PITCHED IT TO MEL STUDIOS THEY SAID NO . THEN WEIRD ENOUGH THEY CAME OUT WITH THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST “MAN WAS I WORRIED WHEN IT CAME OUT I THOUGHT FOR SHURE THEY RIPED MY FILM IDEA BUT NOPE THERES WAS A NEW THING MY FILM MAKES ALL RELIGIOUS FILMS A WALK IN THE PARK COMPARED TO WHAT I GOT IN MIND . Ok– I wrote the balk of my very first script on Trelby.. I later bought into #11 and later #12 of Final Draft.. So now I have a screen play that's approximately 115 pages of length.. Thats nice but if you look at successful screen plays.. Case in point– Good Will Hunting.. From the very first line it sucks you in to the script from a visual level… Where do I get help in doing that?
