7yo WB Gelding (Mussy) who for 18 months has been in and out of work as when in work he gets a very sore back which is followed by right hind lameness. He usually bucks on the lunge but once he warms up, seems fine and is good to ride even when his back is sore. Mussy has had body work, saddle fits, rest and a new saddle which did not improve him. Mussy has had full lameness workups with shifting lameness when nerve blocked, full xrays which show nothing remarkable, Nuclear Scintigraphy which also showed nothing remarkable. As a last ditch effort we are trying treatment for ulcers with Injectable Omeprazole. I will try and take a weekly video diary and fingers crossed this works as I really don’t know what else to do. Wish us luck!
