แต่ไม่ว่ายาโมลนูพิราเวียร์จะมีประสิทธิภาพดีขนาดไหนก็ตามปฏิเสธไม่ได้ว่าการฉีกวัคซีนก็ยังเป็นเรื่องที่สำคัญอยู่ นายแพทย์มนูญ ลีเชวงวงศ์ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านระบบทางเดินหายใจ โรงพยาบาลวิชัยยุทธ เปิดเผยว่า
ยาโมลนูพิราเวียร์จะดีแค่ไหน ก็ไม่ควรคิดว่าจะไม่ฉีดวัคซีน เรายังต้องฉีดวัคซีนอยู่เพื่อทำให้มีภูมิคุ้มกัน
นายแพทย์มนูญ กล่าวว่า \”แม้ยาโมลนูพิราเวียร์จะสามารถรักษาโควิดได้แล้วจะไม่ฉีดวัคซีนไม่ได้ ยังต้องฉีดวัคซีนให้ได้มากที่สุดเพื่อป้องกันไม่ให้ป่วยหนักและป้องกันไม่ให้เสียชีวิต หากคนไหนยังไม่ได้ฉีดวัคซีนหรือมีคนไข้บางคนที่ไม่ยอมฉีดวัคซีนคนเหล่านี้ถ้าเกิดป่วยติดเชื้อต้องรีบกินยาตัวนี้ทันทีคนภายใน 5 วัน\”
