วานูอาตู (Vanuatu) เป็นประเทศที่อยู่ตรงมหาสมุทรแปซิฟิกตอนใต้ ประกอบด้วย 80 กว่าเกาะ มีภาษาใช้กันเป็นร้อย วิธีเดินทางที่ง่ายที่สุดก็คือ บินไปตั้งหลักที่ฟิจิก่อน จากนั้นบินต่ออีก 2 ชั่วโมงก็ถึง ที่สำคัญคนไทยไปเที่ยวไม่ต้องขอวีซ่า
จากสนามบิน ต่อรองราคากับแท๊กซี่ไปที่พอร์ทวิล่า (Port Vila) เมืองหลวงของวานูอาตูประมาณ 15 นาที โชคดีที่ไปตรงกับวันชาติพอดี เลยได้เห็นชาววานูอาตูออกมาเฉลิมฉลองกันทั้งเมือง
ถึงที่นี่ จะไม่ใช่เมืองทันสมัย ชาวเมืองเดินเล่นกันในตลาดสดแทนห้าง แต่ก็เข้าใจได้ถึงเหตุผลที่ทำให้ประเทศนี้ เป็นประเทศที่มีความสุขที่สุดในโลก
