The ChinaLaos Railway is expected to begin operation in December this year as its construction is soon to be completed.
Upon completion, the travel time between Kunming, the provincial capital of Yunnan, and the Laotian capital Vientiane will be slashed to half a day.
According to the construction plan, a total of 11 station buildings in China’s section should be completed by the end of October and meet the conditions for use.
Each of these 11 station buildings is different from others with own characteristics. The theme of the Xishuangbanna Station is a peacock dancing on the clouds, its building looking like a peacock, the cultural symbol of the Dai ethnic group living in Yunnan Province.
More than 1,000 workers are racing against time at the construction site in Yunnan’s Jinghong City instead of enjoying the sevenday National Day holiday starting from Friday.
As an important part of the panAsia rail, the route starts from Yuxi City in Yunnan, passes through Pu’er City, Xishuangbanna, Mohan a township on the ChinaLaos border and Laos’ Luang Prabang before reaching Vientiane.
It is the first international passage mainly invested and constructed by China and directly connected with the Chinese railway network after the Belt and Road Initiative was put forward in 2013.
The construction kicked off on Dec. 25, 2016.

建成後，雲南省會昆明與老撾首都萬象之間的行車時間將縮短至半天。
按照建設規劃，中國段共11座站房應在10月底前建成並具備使用條件。
這11座車站建築各有特色。西雙版納站的主題是一隻在雲端翩翩起舞的孔雀，它的建築外形酷似一隻孔雀，是雲南傣族的文化象徵。
1000多名工人在雲南景洪市的工地與時間賽跑，而不是享受從周五開始的為期7天的國慶假期。
作為汎亞鐵路的重要組成部分，該線路從雲南玉溪市出發，途經普洱市、西雙版納、磨罕——中老邊境鄉鎮——老撾瑯勃拉邦，到達萬象。
這是2013年“一帶一路”倡議提出後，中國主要投資建設的第一條與中國鐵路網直接相連的國際通道。
2016 年 12 月 25 日開工建設。

Singapore held NDP(National Day Parade) parade on August 9th every year, even this year in the time of pandemic, but shrunk the size. The personnel are very young, equipment are advanced.
Singapore is the melting pot of west civilization and oriental heritage. In terms of demographic, about 74.1% of residents were of Chinese descent, 13.4% of Malay descent, 9.2% of Indian descent, and 3.3% of other (including Eurasian) descent. In term of religion, there are Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Taoism, and Hinduism. People from different race, religion and language could respect each other, united to pursue happiness, prosperity and progress of the nation. Sounds like utopia.
Hopefully all the politicians could learn form them, united rather than segmented, cooperation rather than fight, for the sake of humanity.
