How to set Transaction Priority in MetaMask

This video explains how to set Transaction Priority with MetaMask after the London Hard Fork (August 5th, 2021) which includes EIP1559.
MetaMask, your favorite noncustodial crypto wallet, now supports EIP1559! This video shows you how to use the MetaMask UI and make sure you set the right gas fee. Spoiler alert: MetaMask provides you with a recommended gas setting so you don’t have to worry about setting a gas fee if you don’t want to. Feeling experimental? Then watch this entire video to understand how the advanced settings in your MetaMask wallet work.
What is EIP1559, you’re wondering? EIP1559 is part of the London Hard Fork which launched on August 5th, 2021. It will change Ethereum’s market mechanisms to pay for transaction fees. Fundamentally, EIP1559 gets rid of the firstprice auction and replaces it with a fixedprice sale. The significance of this change is that people submitting transactions will no longer have to guess how much gas will be required, as there will be an explicit ‘BaseFee’ to be included in the next block. For users or applications that want to prioritize their transaction, they can add a “tip” to pay a miner.
