With its high connectivity and mobility, users can flexibly build the BS1H up into their ideal camera system according to the scenario. The consistent look of images minimizes postproduction processing when other Panasonic LUMIX production cameras such as the BGH1, a Micro Four Thirds boxstyle camera, or the S1H, a fullframe mirrorless cinema camera, are used together.

Professional photographer Jonas Borg has tested the Panasonic new LUMIX GX80/GX85 and is talking about how he was impressed with it.
Jonas Borg has lived and worked all over the world – including in Singapore, Japan, the UK and USA. Now back in his home nation of Sweden, he has based his business in Stockholm. With 15 years’ experience as a fulltime freelance photographer, he has worked with major international daily newspapers as well as many organisations and companies, including event and PR agencies.
Because of his background in photojournalism, Jonas’ style is often described as documentary. He says he always strives to find new angles and perspectives in his images. One of his most prestigious assignments was to photograph the wedding of the Swedish Crown Princess in 2010 – the same year Jonas began his collaboration with Panasonic, after which he became the first Ambassador for the LUMIX brand in Europe.

Panasonic is proud to introduce a new DSLM(Digital Single Lens Mirrorless) camera DMCGX80/GX85 for LUMIX G that incorporates a host of advanced technologies and practical functions in a compact body.
The DMCGX80/GX85 is capable of recording smooth, highresolution 4K video in 3840×2160 at 30p(60Hz) / 25p(50Hz) or 24p in MP4. Taking advantage of 4K technology, users can capture the fleeting photo opportunities at 30 fps in 8megapixel equivalent resolution to save it as a 4K Photo. Post Focus, Light Composition, 4K Live Cropping are also available.
The LUMIX GX80/GX85 incorporates new 5axis Dual I.S.(Image Stabilizer) for more effective suppression of blur. Combining an O.I.S.(Optical Image Stabilizer, 2axis) and a B.I.S.(Body Image Stabilizer, 5axis), the 5axis Dual I.S. compensates for a larger range of movement than ever before. Users can enjoy blurfree photo/video shooting from wide to tele, even in low light situations.
The 16.0megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor without Low Pass filter and the new Venus Engine combine to achieve crisp, high resolution image in detail with high contrast, impressive color reproduction. The LUMIX GX80/GX85 adopts an electromagnetic drive in the shutter unit. The shock caused by the movement of shutter diaphragm is dramatically reduced and the shutter sound is also minimized. This shock reduction enables users to release mechanical shutter even in the situations where they had no choice but to use electronic shutter.
The Contrast AF System features DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology and excels in both speed and accuracy by exchanging digital signal between the camera and the lens at max. 240 fps1, resulting in ultrafast auto focusing of approx. 0.07 sec.
The GX80/GX85 integrates a LVF (Live View Finder) with 2764Kdot equivalent high resolution and approx.100% color reproduction. This 16:9 Wide Screen LVF boasts approx.1.39x / 0.7x (35mm camera equiv.) magnification and 100% field of view. The new 3.0inch large, approx.1040Kdot high resolution statictype touch monitor with approx. 100% of field of view tilts up by 80degree and down by 45degree which enables shooting in either high or low angle even easier.
For even more creative photography, the LUMIX GX85 integrates a new L.Monochrome mode in Photo Style, that offers an impressive monochrome picture with rich gradation like that of a B/W film. Focus Bracket and Aperture Bracket are also new additions to conventional Exposure Bracket and WB Brackets that allow users to choose best shot later.
Thanks to the connectivity of WiFi®, users can connect the camera to their smartphone / tablet to expand the flexibility in shooting/storing/sharing images.
Contrast AF with DFD Technology works only with Panasonic Micro Four Thirds lenses.
